I am a very simple mom blessed with two special children.  Being born and grown-up in Singapore, I have the same mentality like most Singaporean "kiasu". That is afraid of losing out.

Thus, since my elder children was getting ready to enter formal education for Primary 1 few years back, I quit my job and became a full time home maker.

Being a home maker makes me realize that this job is more physically tiring and mentally exhausting than my previous accounting job.  On the other hand, this enables me to spend more time with my kids.

In Singapore where most families are having dual income source that is both the husband and wife work to bring back the bread and butter, but I am not.  Some ex-colleagues and good friends were very amazed by the fact that I am willing to forgo the luxury, to spend my time at home.

Sometimes, I also ask myself if this is the right thing to do.  But as a mom whose child need guidance in many aspect of life, I think I am the best person to guide him and this is the only thing that I can do for him.
